Farnborough, Hampshire – September 23rd 2009
‘Xi’, the world’s first console-based Alternate Reality game has now had over five million visits since it launched in March 2009. The game, set in the fast-growing PlayStation Home virtual world, ran for three months and also includes an ‘Alumni’ area which has been live in Home since the main game finished, allowing users to experience some of the content and to find out what Xi was all about.
Xi was created by UK developer/production company nDreams for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, and the game also ran in North America.

nDreams recently hired our 20th member of staff, and with more vacancies, we're likely to exceed this number soon.
2009 has been a key year for us, and we now have a range of major projects in development across various platforms for a number of clients. We're also about to launch our first self-funded project, dipping into publishing for the first time.
If you're interested in a role at nDreams, drop us an email at jobs@ndreams.com, or contact our exclusive recruitment agency, Amiqus.
nDreams are featured in the September issue of EDGE magazine. The article, which focuses on Xi, is called 'Home games: How Sony's virtual community received its first rallying cry', and gives a great insight into how Xi came about. It's available now in all good newsagents and can now be viewed online here.
Due to a number of exciting new projects, we're delighted to announce the next phase of our expansion. We're currently looking to fill five positions here at our Farnborough office. The roles are: Senior Programmer, Programmer, Artist, Web Developer/Engineer and Finance Manager.
As part of our commitment to give a small percentage of our annual profits to charity each year, the staff at nDreams recently voted for which charities to support following the end of our 08/09 financial year. We are proud to announce that we have given £7,500 in total to three charities - the Williams Syndrome Foundation, the World Land Trust and Key Changes Music Therapy.
We'd like to thank our staff for their hard work which has made this donation possible, and we look forward to being able to give more money next year.
